Gail Molzahn is a jewelry artist from Savannah, Georgia, who regularly spends time on the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau, where I live. Her bold, unique pieces include a dazzling array of materials: 19th century Czech glass used as trade beads in Mali, Sudanese trade beads that may be 1,000 years old; vintage Lucite; white jade, polished wood, suede, red spiny oyster shell, and African opal, just to name a few.
